Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our GST Tax Lookup API

HSN & SAC Code & GST Rate Lookup

To check HSN code for any product, you can use our free HSN/SAC Finder tool or integrate our API. Search by product keywords like "mobile phone", "laptop", or "consulting services" to find the correct HSN classification and GST rate.

Enter the HSN code in our free lookup tool or use our API endpoint. For example, enter "8517" to find GST rates for telephones. Our system will return the applicable GST rate (5%, 12%, 18%, or 28%) along with compensation cess if applicable.

Use our HSN/SAC Code Validator to check if a code is valid. Enter the full HSN (8 digits) or SAC (6 digits) code to verify its existence and get complete classification details including chapter, heading, and sub-heading information.

HSN (Harmonized System of Nomenclature) codes are 8-digit codes used to classify goods for taxation purposes. SAC (Services Accounting Code) codes classify services. GST rates in India are determined based on these codes. Our API helps you find the exact GST rate for any HSN/SAC code instantly.
